Using Amazon with Laris

Notice to all merchants: Listing, selling and order handling methods for Laris’s integration of Amazon Marketplace differs from what you may be used to with eBay and Overstock. As such, it is important that before you list to Amazon using Laris, you first review the key features of our Amazon integration as outlined below.

Rules & Regulations

Note: There are many common functions that you may be using with Laris’s eBay & Overstock integration which are not yet available in Laris’s Amazon process. Our quality assurance team has already identified several of these features and is working to ensure that they will be available to you in the near future. Your questions, comments, and suggestions are always welcome and highly valued.

Register with Amazon Marketplace

Adding Your Amazon Marketplace Account

Icons

These appear in your listings manager.

Image:Icon_auction_available.gif This is the available quantity for the particular item
Image:Icon_auction_pending_list.gif The number under this icon shows the number of pending listings
Image:Icon_auction_qty_sold.gif The number under this icon shows you the quantity you have sold.
Image:Icon_auction_qty.gif The number under this icon shows you the quantity that is currently listed.

Updating Products

Once your Amazon Marketplace account is setup in Laris, you will notice an addition to our product form. When Adding Inventory or modifying inventory in Laris, at the lower portion of the Product Details form you will notice the new Amazon options.

Bulk Change Tools

Amazon options bulk change tools are available in the General & Auction Options tool sets in the Product Ads, Manage Product Ads section.

Listing to Amazon Marketplace


Please do not list using Amazon’s interface. Any changes made directly on Amazon will not reflect

at all in Laris.


Note: In order to list to Amazon Marketplace, your product must have an Amazon Item ID Type, an Item ID, a Category & a price.


To list to Amazon Marketplace use the Launch New Listings submenu found under the Listings main menu, Amazon Marketplace (Beta) submenu.


Viewing Your Listings

To view your current or pending listings, navigate to the “Current Listings” submenu of the Amazon Marketplace (Beta) submenu.
You can monitor all of your Amazon Marketplace listings from this screen. From there you can preview a listing by clicking on the Amazon item number. You can also cancel, revise or end the listing.

You may check all competitive Amazon pricing related to your listing by clicking on the listing’s

current price.

Revising Items

Please do not revise your items using Amazon’s interface. Any changes made directly on Amazon will not reflect at all in Laris.

You may only revise “Active” Amazon listings. A revise listing icon appears to the left of the Amazon listing after its status becomes “Active”

Note: Changes made when revising your active Amazon listings can take up to 60 minutes to appear on

Amazon.

Ending Amazon Listings

Image: Icon_return_from_unpaid.gif - Cancel and Return to Inventory -This action will remove the listing from Amazon and return the product quantity back to available inventory. Note: This process can take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Sold Items

Please do commit any “Off-Laris” sales using Amazon’s interface. Any changes made directly on Amazon will not reflect at all in Laris.

Note: Amazon can take between 30 and 60 minutes to send order data to Laris. Be cautions when removing items from your Active Amazon listings page as there might be pending sales on Amazon.

Managing Orders

Orders can take up to 120 minutes to appear in your Manage Orders screen. All orders are marked as Ready to Ship by default. Because Amazon handles the transaction, you will not need to verify the payment.

You may search for Amazon orders via the Manage Orders screen.

Refunding: To refund an order, locate the order using from the Manage Orders screen. Click the order number to edit the order. Under Order Payments, locate the Amazon transaction and click on "Refund". On the following window, you will need to select a reason for the refund, then click on “Update Payment”. The order will be placed on hold while Laris updates records on Amazon. Note: This process can take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

Shipping

There are no major differences in the process shipments screen. We have added a shipping indicator that will display if the Amazon buyer had paid extra for “Expedited Shipping”.

Note: Amazon’s shipping rates are based metered USPS rates. You are not able to input your own shipping rates so be sure to compensate for this in your item pricing information.

Managing Inventory

You may use the current Inventory Search screen under the Inventory main menu. There you will be able to search your entire inventory and sort by preferred criteria and / or view the current listings. You may also view the status of the products, print product labels, place products on hold, view product history, change the quantity, add similar items and preview / edit the listings.

To view inventory based on venue, be sure to click the appropriate market venue drop down value

Listing Statuses

Pending -New Items that have been scheduled to list to Amazon.

Processing -Items that have been sent to Amazon for processing and are waiting for approval. Note: This process can take approximately 30 minutes to complete. During this process you cannot delete or make any changes to the item.

Active -Items that have been successfully listed to Amazon.

Erroneous -Items that did not list to Amazon because of a returned error.

Pending Revised -Active Amazon items that you have recently been revised.

Note: You may only change the following criteria of an active item: sale price, quantity, shipping settings and update your product note. It can take approximately 30 minutes for a revision to complete.

Out of Stock -This status is used when all product quantities on Amazon have been sold. To reactivate an Out of Stock item, revise the item and modify its quantity appropriately. This will trigger the item to be relisted to Amazon.
