How do I import tracking numbers from Dazzle into Laris?

STEP 1 Preparing Shipments:
1a) To process all shipments that have been paid for click on "Shipping" then "Process Shipments".

2a) For each USPS shipment, ensure that you enable the "Confirmation" checkbox. This will tell Dazzle to assign a tracking number to your shipment. Once you are ready, scroll to the bottom and click on "Recalculate" and select a service level for shipping. Once you are ready to process the shipment for export to Dazzle, click on "Print". Repeat this step for all USPS shipments.

STEP 2 Exporting shipments to Dazzle for Printing:

2a) Under the "Shipping" menu click on "Manage Shipments". This will display all shipments that were processed through Laris. Identify the shipments that still say "processing". These are the shipment you should export. Another way to identify which shipment to export if you are using multiple shipping couriers, you and click on the "Carrier and Service" column which will sort all your shipments by Carrier.

2b) Select all USPS shipments, then above where is says "For selected Items" choose "Export Endicia (DAZZLE) XML file". A dialog box will appear asking you to save the file, ensure that save the file to C:\Endicia.

2c) If you have Dazzle open, it should pick up the XML file and prompt you to print the postage for all shipments. If Dazzle is not yet open, open Dazzle and within 2 seconds it should pickup your Laris exported shipments. For information on how to print postage using Dazzle please call 1-800-576-3279 x140.

STEP 3 Importing Tracking numbers from Dazzle into Laris:

Now it's time to import all processed tracking numbers for you exported shipments that were printed by Dazzle. The reason for this is to have the tracking number records for Customer Service records. Laris will also send out an e-mail notification with tracking number details to the buyer.

3a) Under the "Shipping" menu click on "Manage Shipments". Select the shipments which still has the tracking number column written "Processing..." Under where is says "For selected Items" choose "Import Tracking Numbers". A new Laris dialog box should apear. Click on "Browse" and find the file called "tracking_number_for_laris.xml" located in "C:\Program Files\Envelope Manager\Dazzle\". Once you have located the file, select it and click on "Open". This will take you back to Laris, now click on the "Upload" button once and wait until it completes the uploading of the tracking numbers.

3b) You have now successfully imported all tracking number for your shipments. It is now time to close all orders.

STEP 4 How to close shipped orders:

Closing orders will trigger the order to get marked as "Order Closed & Shipped", will also decrease inventory quantity, and will also send an e-mail notifying the buyer that the shipment has been sent with tracking details as well.

Closing of orders can be achieved in 2 different ways:

4a) If you are using bar code scan guns in your infrastructure use the following method to ensure that you do not ship a package to in incorrect destination and to close your orders automatically. Under the "Inventory" menu, click on "Store/Remove Products".

Method 1 Click on "Remove for Shipping". Laris will now ask you to scan the "Tracking" barcode on the shipping label into the system. Then Laris will ask you to scan in your internal Laris assigned inventory bar code label. Once the 2 scans match, you will receive a message confirming the successful removal of your shipment & order close.

Method 2 If you are not using bar code scan guns in your infrastructure use the following method to close all orders that were processed via Dazzle. Under the "Orders" menu select all orders that you have printed shipping labels for and menu drop down where it says "For Selected Item(s):" choose "Close Orders".
