Setting up your eBay Account
To make adding an eBay auction account
as secure as possible, we will never ask you for your username and password.
Instead, to add an eBay account, click on the GET INFO FROM eBay button. When
you click this button, a new browser window will open that will connect you
directly to eBay and prompt you to enter your eBay username and password. When
you enter your eBay login information, click SIGN IN, then click AGREE AND
CONTINUE. eBay will automatically supply a special key to the system to access your
specific eBay preferences, as well as list and manage your auctions.
NOTE : For this feature to work properly, you must have cookies enabled in your
browser.
- After clicking the "Get Info From eBay button", a popup window will open.
- This is eBay asking for your login. Don't be concerned that this step says Laris. Laris is based on the Laris engine and you need to allow the Laris backend to communicate with your eBay account.
- After inputting your eBay username and password, click the Agree and Continue > button to allow the software to communicate with your eBay account.
- After agreeing, your eBay options page within Laris will populate with a bunch of options.
- You'll see your Account name and feedback listed at the top.
- You don't need to configure the rest of the settings right now, you can scroll down and click the save user button to save your current progress.
- When you go back to the configuration screen (click on [[Marketplace Seller Accounts & Settings]] and then underneath the the step, click on your eBay account) you'll see all of the configurable information.
Configuring eBay Settings
- Primary account - check this box if you want the account you
are working on to be the primary or default eBay account when listing items.
- Mediator Account - Select the SquareTrade account you want to
associate with this eBay account. You can set up a SquareTrade account by
visiting step 8 Mediator Account Settings
- Mark as unpaid after (days) - Specify the amount of days you
will wait for a payment. After this time has past, the auction will be
considered unpaid and moved to Auctions > Overdue / Unsettled Sales from
where you can handle the auction accordingly.
- After Unpaid - Hold Item (days) - This is the number of days
that the item unpaid item will wait to return to inventory.
- Auto-submit unpaid item dispute - When this box is checked,
Laris will automatically initiate the non-paying bidder process with eBay. This
is based on the number of days you specify above in the Mark as unpaid after
(days) dropdown menu.
- Auto-request final value fee - When this box is checked, Laris
will automatically contact eBay to refund the listing costs for the unsold /
unpaid auction(s)
- Restocking fee engine - When this box is checked, Laris will
automatically present the option to unpaid auction bidders to pay a restocking
fee to avoid initiating the non-paying bidder process with eBay. This feature
will override the non-paying bidder process if a restocking fee is paid. You can
customize restocking fee`s with the 2 extra checkboxes that will appear when the
restocking fee engine is selected.
- Restocking Fee(%) - This is the percentage
of the selling price of the auction item that you would like to charge as a
restocking fee.
- Restocking Fee Minimum - This is the amount
in dollars that you would like to charge as a minimum restocking fee.
- Restocking Fee(%) - This is the percentage
of the selling price of the auction item that you would like to charge as a
restocking fee.
- Auto-submit 2nd chance offer - This option will display more
choices to configure how the second chance offers will be handled. Please note
that if eBay users have disabled second chance offers in their personal
settings, they will not be contacted.
- After you check the box for Auto-submit 2nd chance offers, you can
enable the offer to trigger based on different pricing schemas.
- % of Reserve Price - will offer the item to all bidders that have
bid by at least this percentage of the reserve price.
- % of BIN Price - will offer the item to the bidders that have bid by
at least this much of the buy it now price.
- % of Sale Price - will offer the item to the bidders that have bid
by at least this much of the sale price.
- % of Cost per Unit - will offer the item to the bidders that have
bid by at least this much of the cost per unit of the item, specified in
the [[[Product Details]] of the product.
- % of MSRP Price - will offer the item to the bidders that have bid by at least this much of the MSRP, as defined by the [[Product Details]].
- Choose the "Valid For" duration of the SCO. For example, if an item was sold and the quantity available deceases to 0, no SCO would be sent out. If the number of days specified here is at 7, and the quantity becomes available for the product within the 7 days, and SCO would be automatically sent out.
- Next, choose the
number of days that the SCO will be available to claim.
- % of Reserve Price - will offer the item to all bidders that have
bid by at least this percentage of the reserve price.
- After you check the box for Auto-submit 2nd chance offers, you can
enable the offer to trigger based on different pricing schemas.
- Auto-accept Best Offers - This will configure Laris to
automatically accept best offer made by your bidders. After you enable the
option you can further configure it.
- The % of BIN Price will auto-accept best offers that is at least as much
of the Buy it Now price.
- The % of BIN Price will auto-accept best offers that is at least as much
of the Buy it Now price.
- Import all ending auctions upon sale - When this box is
checked, Laris will automatically import all of your ending auctions from eBay
upon sale. This will result in Laris handling the checkout for all of
these items.
- Enable Skype - This will add Skype to your eBay listings.
The Skype button is available on listings from the following categories:
Automotive GPS devices, Other real estate, Lenses & Filters, Manufacturing and
metalworking, Routers wired, Beds, Skype Devices (121146), Basketball-NBA,
Internet Telephony (61838), Coin silver, Diamond solitaire rings, Lost in space,
Residential homes, Radio control, Commercial homes, Passenger cars.
Default Listing Parameters
Note: will apply to newly added items, NOT imported items. This can save you
tons of time adding new items into Laris.
- Site - Choose the default listing site.
- Listing Template: Choose a default eBay Template
- Relist Profile: Choose a default Auto-Relisting
Profile
- Do not validate item specifics - Check this box is validation of eBay attributes
is not required.
Listing Type
- Listing Type - Choose a default listing type.
- Duration - Choose a default listing duration
- Donate % of Sale - This is powered by MissionFish. You can donate part of
your item's final sale price to a certified nonprofit organization. When
you create an eBay Giving Works listing, a $5 minimum donation is required if
the item sells. Note: this does not apply to nonprofits who are Directly
Selling.
- Donate % of sale - this setting will automatically donate the specified percentage of sale to your chosen charity.
- The pick button is to choose the charity that you would like to donate to.
Auction Pricing
- Currency - If you're listing in different countries and have multiple
currencies set up, you can choose a default currency setting here.
- Starting Price - you can choose a default starting price.
- Deposit Amount - you can set a default deposit amount here.
Location
- Country - Choose your default country.
- City, State - Choose your default city & state that will display on your
eBay listings.
- Use warehouse City, State - choose this option if you would like to use the
warehouse city, state in your listing.
- Region - use this option to set a default region to list in if you want to
list regionally.
- Gallery - use this option to choose to have a gallery photo for each of your
eBay listings.
Counter - use this option to choose a default counter style.
eBay Store Categories
If you have an eBay store, use the button at the bottom of the eBay settings page (on the right), to import your eBay store categories. After
you've imported the categories, they will show up in your Product Details
page.
Remember to hit the UPDATE button and save your settings.
