Does Laris offer functionality for departmentalized environment (i.e. tester, QA and inventory personnel and so on)?

Yes, Laris offers many ways to configure the profile to suit your organization's needs. For example: you can disable Add All-In-One entry form in the setup wizard to offer a more conveyor-like product entry into the system, QA (quality assurance) has been re-named to Update Products menu that again allows you to have multiple departments within Quality Assurance department itself.
